코리아써키트, 프리미엄 스마트폰 시장 둔화에도 주기판(HDI) 사업 `훨훨`

코리아써키트가 무서운 성장세로 인쇄회로기판(PCB) 시장에서 주목받고 있다.

프리미엄 스마트폰117 시장 성장 정체로 대다수 PCB업체들이 하반기 실적 둔화를 우려하는 것과 대조적이다. 코리아써키트는 스마트폰 주기판(HDI)뿐만 아니라 반도체기판(IC substrate) 매출 확대에 힘입어 가파른 성장세를 기록할 것으로 보인다.

15일 업계에 따르면 코리아써키트(대표 이광원)는 지난달부터 생산라인 가동률이 꾸준히 상승하고 있다. 지난 7월 갤럭시S4 판매 부진 영향으로 다소 주춤했지만 이달 들어 90%대를 유지하고 있다. 조만간 풀 가동 상태에 이를 것으로 예상된다.

실적을 견인하는 것은 스마트폰 HDI 사업이다. 이 회사는 PCB층간 전기를 연결하는 전층비아홀(IVH) 가공 분야에서 높은 수율을 확보하고 있다. IVH HDI가 프리미엄 제품에서 보급형 스마트폰으로 확산되면서 수혜를 톡톡히 본 셈이다. 올해 HDI 매출은 3250억원으로 전년 대비 35% 늘어날 것으로 예상된다.

반도체기판(IC sbstrate) 사업도 모바일용 패키지온패키지(PoP) 매출 확대에 힙입어 본 궤도에 올랐다. 올해 반도체 기판 사업 매출은 1100억원으로 지난해보다 16% 가량 성장할 것으로 예상된다.

코리아써키트 관계자는 “보급형 스마트폰뿐 아니라 스마트패드 시장에도 적극 대응해 HDI 점유율을 늘릴 것”이라며 “비아 홀(PCB층간 전기 연결 통로) 가공 기술 수준을 높여 경쟁력을 배가하겠다”고 말했다.
